Hello everybody and welcome to the second edition of the weekly feature, Guitar Duel. Last week saw Jimmy Page take on Keith Richards and to be honest I thought it might have been more of a contest. But you voted 11 for Page and just 2 for Richards. So Jimmy Page won that Guitar Duel by a landslide.

But now onto this weeks Duel. A tasty affair indeed.

They hail from two of the biggest Rock bands in history. One classed more as Heavy Metal, one more as Hard Rock. They formed 8 years apart in 1973 and 1981. The bands are of course, AC/DC and Metallica. They both have one song each in Rolling Stones 100 Greatest Guitar Tracks with Back In Black, and Master Of Puppets. Both Guitarists have also been inducted into the Rock n Roll hall of fame with their respecitve bands.

I'm sure you know who these guitarists are. It is obviously Angus Young from AC/DC and Kirk Hammett from Metallica. Both amazing Guitarists who Rock! But who is the better guitarist?

Hello everybody and welcome to a new feature within the blog... Guitar Duel.

This is going to be a weekly feature where I pit two legendary guitarists against each other and you lot have to vote on who you think is the better guitarist. I must admit some of these choices will be hard to bare, almost like choosing who is the favourite out of your Mother or your Father. So grit your teeth and get ready to make some agonising but amazing choices.

Right, lets get on with the first in the series. This weeks Guitar Duel is going to be between two of the greatest British Guitarists to ever pick up a guitar. Between them, they penned four songs in Rolling Stone Magazines list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Songs of All Time . Which is some feat considering Hendrix had only three in there.

Their fame rose from the 60's and 70's respectively and they are widely regarded as two of the best guitarists ever.

Hello everyone, hope you are all keeping well.

Ok, so now that all of the best guitarists of the decade polls are over, I can finally move on to who you think the best guitarist is. The winner of the best 00's Guitarist goes to Matt Bellamy so he has put himself in the running for Greatest Guitarist Ever. Now, the only way that I can think about putting this list together in the fairest way is to take all of your choices on the decade polls and only use those guitarists to determine the Greatest Guitarist.

So all of you who didn't vote for your favourites in the decade polls, you won't be seeing them in this poll.

The winners of the decade were:

50's - Les Paul

60's - Jimi Hendrix

70's - Dave Gilmour

80's - Slash/Van Halen

90's - Tom Morello

00's - Matt Bellamy

Hello Everyone, looks like Morello and Dime were neck and neck in the last poll. Suppose we can't see who the best Guitarist of the 90's was. I also think that there isn't going to be a clear winning in this weeks poll.

It has been a good decade for the guitar and I there are some amazing guitarists in this poll.

Hey guys ;-)

Wow! Really impressed with the response on last week's poll. Had the most voters yet! The winner in the end was Van Halen. It was so close though between him and Slash, for most of the week Slash was leading. So well done to you all, and I expect just a good as response as last week.

This weeks poll is to find out who you all think was the greatest 90's Guitarist? The 90's was a pretty good time for music. Grunge was around, Britpop was surfacing and we had some great rock bands like Rage Against The Machine (Who look set to take the UK Christmas Number 1 spot from X Factor :-D! )
