Hello everyone and welcome to another exciting Guitar Duel, these are proving really popular. Before we get onto this weeks duel lets look at who won last weeks battle between Morello and Cobain. I must admit I did sort of expect the end result in which Morello was the overall winner. It was quite close though. Thanks for voting guys. But now onto this weeks cincilating duel between two of the older greats. For this weeks poll we travel back to the birth of rock n roll in the 50s. With these two guitarists we look back at a girl called Lucille and a guy called Johnny. Both guitarists are in the top 10 of Rolling Stones best guitarists ever, only being separated by three places. Of course the two legendary guitarists I am talking about are B.B King and Chuck Berry.

Between them they are considered to be two of the most influential guitarists in rock and roll history. One being King of the blues and the other combining blues with country sounds to perfect rock n roll. They are both placed in the top 10 of Rolling Stone magazines 100 Greatest Guitarists with King placed at third and Berry placed at sixth. They also have three songs in Rolling Stones 100 Greatest Guitar songs and amazingly one of those is placed at number one. B.B. King has two at 26 and 68 with How Blue Can You Get and The Thrill Is Gone, respectively while Berry has one song in the top 100, Johnny B Goode. but its placed as the greatest guitar song ever! So this one should be a real showdown today.
Both great, amazing, utterly brilliant guitarists I’m sure you’d agree, but what I want to know is who is better?
