Our most favoured guitar idols are often people that inspire us with their musical ability and guitar prowess. Their songs often speak to us and tell us that we should try and pick the guitar up, whether it be to emulate some of our favourites or to start our own band or write our own music with our very own style. But it isn't just the music that inspires us to create our own music, sometimes, when they are not getting wasted, sleeping with groupies or taking drugs, guitarists can say some pretty awe inspiring things.
So what are the best[...]
Hello everyone, hope you had a fantastic weekend. Mine was ok, felt a bit ill Saturday though so didn't do too much.
Anyway lets get back into a new week with another Hero Worship post. And this week's Hero comes in the form of the Legendary George Harrison. The lead guitarist in the Beatles and a great solo artist aswell. Great friends with legends such as Clapton, even after Eric had an affair with George's missus.

Alright Everyone, Good week so far?
I thought I would continue my poll on the Greatest Guitarist of each decade and this weeks is about the 60's. Last weeks 50's winner was Les Paul, and thanks for all of you that voted.

Alright Everyone. How are you? Hope you're all trying the riff challenge? If not then you can always start here ;-)
This week's riff is from a true great. Mr.Clapton (who won our very own best British Guitarist poll) brings us this weeks riff, which is one that every guitar player should play, at least know. So here it is, Sunshine Of Your Love:
And here's how it should sound at it's very best:
Good Luck.
Tell me how you get on.

Hello Readers,
This is another poll of the week. Last weeks poll on the greatest guitaring decade was won by the 1980's. Thanks for all that voted.
Anyway I was going to start a series of polls on who was the greatest guitarist in each of the decades, but I was reading an article about Eric Clapton the other day and whether he still matters. So it got me thinking about British guitarists, and their influence on the guitar, and ultimately who was the best British Guitarist.
