Hello everyone and welcome to another weekly riff. This weeks riff comes from one of the best guitarists of the last decade. The song is from the English alternative band, Muse. It comes from their second album, Origin Of Symmetry, which was released in 2001. This guitarist actually won my very own poll for the best 00′s guitarist, so it seems about time that I did a post on him, and what’s more fitting than paying homage to one of his greatest riffs. So, who is this guitarist I hear you ask? Well if you haven’t already guessed, its the outstanding, Matt Bellamy. And the song? The all-time classic Plug In Baby.

Muse are a band from Devon, United Kingdom and they formed in 1994. They have had 5 studio albums to date, all being quite well received. Plug In Baby was the first single taken from their second studio album. In 2004 Total Guitar readers voted it as the 13th best riff of all time, which is some accolade. So, wanna learn how to play it. Here it is:

And here’s how it should sound:
Hope you enjoyed this weeks riff and learn to play it.
Thanks
